Set during the Klondike Gold Rush, it portrays the lives of three Irish brothers in the fictional town of Dominion Creek who posses their own mining claims. A full Western town film set was built on site. Shots included the mine, the film town set and the rural landscape. Welcome to Garlow. the setting for this intense and gritty western.
A whole town was built on the farm grounds for the filming of An Klondike with
everything from a Saloon bar to a Jailhouse and all in between.
In 2016, the first season of An Klondike received nine Irish Film and Television Award
nominations, winning four awards - for Best Drama, Actor, Make-Up and Script.
In 2017, the second season of An Klondike received ten IFTA nominations, winning
two awards - for Best Director Drama, and Supporting Actor
