Sheep Dog Herding Demonstrations in Connemara and Galway

Glengowla is home to a working sheep farm where the Geoghegan family have farmed for generations. The sheep dogs at Glengowla are an integral part of our farming family. Prepare to be amazed at the bond between farmer and sheepdog as you watch them work together to herd sheep. Farm owner, Keith Geoghegan, and his sheep dogs have trained and herded sheep for years. Keith will explain the commands he is giving the dog so you can see how the intelligent the dog is and their training technique. Don’t worry about the weather our viewing area is fully covered so if the Irish weather gives us rain you will be fully dry while you enjoy the show. Keith loves to answer any of your questions about farming life in Connemara and Jess the sheep dog loves all the pets he can get! Not to be left out meet some sheep would love a pet too.
